Danny Boyle & Me

So I just watched Captain America with Danny Boyle (Director of films including Trainspotting, The Beach, Slum Dog Millionare)

Okay when I say 'with Danny Boyle' - he didn't know I existed - but we were, both, in Screen 3, at West India Quay Cineworld, at the same time, watching Captain America.

Summer Club 2011 - Monday 1st August to 25th

I do plan on writing up the rest of Summer Club - this weekend I only got the first week done (Day - 1 2 3 4 5)

There are two and a half weeks more - I may have to summarise.

So until I do get around to a proper update, the rest of Summer Club included the following:

Hainault Country Park trip with Orienteering & Low Ropes

Amongst other things - had new experiences, learned new skills, met new people, made new friends and built confidence & self esteem
And its not over yet - on the Thursday the 25th we go to see 39 Steps at the Theatre...

Summer Club 2011 - Thursday 28th July

We got our buoyancy aids, paddles and kayaks headed for the canal... On land

Dean showed us how to hold and use the paddle and we practised how to use the paddle to move forward and back and to change direction... We got on the canal (probably the hardest bit apart from getting out of the boats again and then we paddled around, tried to avoid the bushes, fishermen and canal boats and

when we needed a break had some rest stops where we rafted up and chilled out. For some it was their first time paddling and for others they had been last year and felt more confident this time... but all had a great time and looked forward to doing it again.
